    what a day

    Friday, November 17, 2006, 11:38 PM [General]

Yesterday was such a battle during qualilying. I really didn't feel sharp and scores were high, a bad combination. I battled and it seemed like I was just out of the top 32 cut number all day. I shot a 258 the final game of qualifying to finish 35th. So now besides having a pro-am on Sat. and working for ESPN on Sunday I have nothing but free time until next Wednesday. I did change the pitch in my thumbhole today. I have had a hard time getting the ball off my thumb cleanly so far this season. I have never had that problem before so I had to change something. As I'm sure everyone knows it's very frustrating not performing at a level you think you should. Well I'll keep battling and hopefully I'll get some of you out there in bowlspace pulling for me. I need all the help I can get.

    Till next time,

    wake me up thursday

    Tuesday, November 14, 2006, 11:25 PM [General]

Time is starting to drag this week. I was so desperate yesterday to do something fun i played golf even though it only got up to about 42 degrees. I actually played pretty well (78) considering I had 4 layers on. Got some practice in today. Tomorrow is our official practice session and Thursday qualifying begins. It would make things so much better out here if we had an extra day of qualifying. Your whole week is getting yourself prepared for one day of bowling. If things don't go well you have to wait a whole week to try to redeem yourself. The whole dead time issue I believe adds stress too an already stressful job. I know, things could be alot worse. People out there that don't have any free time would love to be in my shoes. Maybe I need to find some new hobbies, or a new job.

                                            Till next time,

                                                        Tim Criss
